We are looking for true football strategy players. We are not looking for "abuse the flaws of video games" strategy. If you don't see it happen in the NFL then it will not be allowed in this league. This was designed with intentions of a "family style" league and to gather a group that will be around for years to come. A group of guys that will respect one another, are competitive, can take a loss and learn from it (if you are the type that loses then says " I QUIT!!!" , this is not for you), and are an active madden player. This league is a commitment, not just a stop along the way, you will have 31 other "Virtual NFL Brothers" relying on you.
Termination:
We will have a 3 strike policy.
Strike 1: suspension of player or players depending on the issue
Strike 2: you will be suspended for the following game and suspension of player/players.
Strike 3: you are booted out of the league forever
-Instant Termination: Quitting a game, or restarting game. If you are disconnected you DO NOT get to restart the game. A commish must be contacted before anything is done.
Disrespecting other owners. On or off the field.
Running up the score (you will not be warned for this infraction, you go right to strike 1). This means if you are up more than 21 pts in the 4th qtr you must eat as much clock as possible, you do not continue to attack. 11 plays will eat a whole quarter if the clock continues to run.
Play Selection:
-A mix of formation and plays need to be called. Repetitive play calls will not be aloud. If you only have 5 plays you use in a game on offense/defense, please do not waste your time with our league.
-You need to have a balance of run and pass, there is no reason you should ever have less than 10 plays each.
-Glitch plays and glitch motions will not be aloud(glitch meaning...... abusing the designer flaws of the game). Nano blitzing is not allowed (nano blitzing meaning..... manual positioning defenders so they attack the flaws of the OL), also manually moving defenders over to one side of the line to rush. The OL is unable to adjust for this in a video game. You can move defenders anywhere on the field, just not to attack the errors in the OL blocking.
-Rollinging out or running straight back with QB is prohibited unless there is pressure.
-Wildcat and screens can both be used in moderation, i dont see a reason for more than 2-3 of each per game.
-4th downs are aloud, however if it falls into running up the score they are NOT.
-Fake FG and Punts are aloud only in punting and field goal situations, not as your offense.
When you feel an opponent has broken any of these consistently during a game please send email to virtualnfl@gmail.com. State what was done and create a highlight of the plays directly after the game. You must have highlights if it is about gameplay. Once that is done the league board will review and take appropriate action.
Games can be scheduled using the forum, AIM, chatbox, and PSN. Weeks will consist of 84 hours, you will have 48 hours to schedule your games. If the game isn't scheduled after the 48 hours the least active owner will be removed for that week and invited again the following week. If you are out of town, just contact the commish so he doesn't replace you.
All FA signings and trades must be approved by commish, this is an instant BOOT. Only exception is bottom feeders(70 and below) that you need to fill your rosters.
